Bruce is a highly experienced and well rounded professional who has successfully navigated challenging environments and achieved excellent outcomes through his approach to understanding opportunities and maximising both individual and collective potential.
With over 30 years’ of board service on federal and state government boards, as well as private and community boards. His roles have included Chair of the Coal Mining Industry Long Service Leave Corporation, Chair of the Maritime Mining Power Credit Union Audit Risk Compliance Committee, and the Work Health & Safety QLD board.
In 2024, Bruce finished his successful executive career which included 7 years as CEO of WorkCover QLD, 11 years as CEO of Mine Super (formerly AUSCOAL Super), and 10 years as the national secretary of the Miners Union.
Bruce was awarded ‘Executive of the Year’ by the Fund Executive Association for his contributions to business and industry, delivering sustainable financial performance and customer service excellence in the financial services sector.
He holds a Master of Organisational Leadership, a Diploma of Financial Services, is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (FAICD) and is a Certified Chair.
